THE 2018 ROUTE & STOPOVERS
DAY #1
WARRIEWOOD TO WISEMAN’S FERRY

Wiseman’s ferry

Nestled in the heartland of the Hawkesbury River is the distinctive river settlement of Wisemans Ferry, about 60km north-west of Sydney’s CBD. Encircled by noteworthy national parks - Dharug to the north and east, Yengo to the north-west, Cattai to the west, and Marramarra to the south - Wisemans Ferry is a rustic village on one of the country's most famous waterways.
The sandstone escarpments that ring the village are typically Australian, providing a unique view of authentic country lifestyle. The area abounds in Aboriginal and European history. The 4850ha Dharug National Park contains 16km of the convict-built Old Great North Road that once connected Sydney and Newcastle .
DAY #2
WISEMAN’S FERRY TO TERRIGAL

TERRIGAL
One of the best-known beaches on the Central Coast, Terrigal Beach is a cosmopolitan seaside town and upmarket social centre, as popular with locals as it is with visitors.
The patrolled beach offers safe swimming all year round and has a small ocean rock pool tucked into the cliff at the southern end. Also at the southern end of Terrigal Beach is Terrigal Haven, a protected boat harbour with boat ramp, fishing charters, scuba diving and snorkelling, picnic and barbecue facilities .
DAY #3
TERRIGAL TO NELSON BAY

NELSON BAY

Nelson Bay is the main town for Port Stephens & is our Final Stop.
On the town's doorstep within the sheltered arms of the bay there are safe, calm beaches, while the coastal beaches just a five-minute drive away are washed by booming waves.
The diving and snorkelling here is exceptional & just off the coast at Broughton Island, with such outstanding features as the 'Looking Glass', a split that runs through the middle of the island, crowded with marine life.
